A unique approach

We work by building trust relationships with civil society organizations in Italy and around the world. We listen to local communities, analyze needs together with our partners, and define shared pathways focused on human dignity and social justice. Every initiative stems from dialogue and a commitment to strengthening autonomous, deeply rooted, and accountable organizations.

We support projects through flexible financial contributions — including those intended solely for operating expenses — and through support programs in governance, administrative management, fundraising, advocacy, and organizational development. We believe that lasting change comes from strengthening organizations’ capabilities and fostering their structural growth.

We monitor initiatives closely and continuously, highlighting the social impact generated and fostering opportunities for mutual evaluation and learning. For us, working means building solid alliances, sharing responsibilities, and creating long-term value.

Research and evaluation office

The Research and evaluation office is composed of experts from the Foundation who help guide its strategy and grant-making decisions. It uses its expertise to analyze societal trends, align the Foundation with emerging needs, and apply evaluation and monitoring methods that support the organizations that receive its funding. The Office also works for third-party foundations that wish to undertake projects in new territories or sectors and require external, independent expertise.
The Office ensures that the actions carried out by the supported organizations comply with approved initiatives and signed agreements. It may also provide management and procedural assistance to supported organizations that request it.
Our goal is to unlock the specific potential of each organization; we serve organizations to support their role as intermediary bodies, uphold the principle of subsidiarity, and promote organized responsibility in the pursuit of social justice.
